Overview

SDSMacroVA - the program for adding plain angles to members in SDS/2: wall bearing anchor angles, double angle hangers, support/bearing angles attached to column and others.

System requirements: SDS/2 v.6.2 or higher. 

1. Using the Program

After installation is complete you will find the new folder on your workstation:

C:\SDSMacroVA

Using Windows Explorer open this folder and double click on SDSMacroVA.EXE file (you also can create shortcut for that file and place it on Desktop)

The form pops-up on the screen. Here you can setup five different types of connections: all changes you’ve made will be saved when you close the application (button ‘Exit’).

To run macro:

• Edit parameters (if needed), select End of member (Left, Right or Both ends). Click on the corresponding ‘Run’ button (DISABLED FOR DEMO version). The program generates new Python macro C:\SDSMacroVA\0PY\0.PY. The form is minimized and the Python macro file path gets into clipboard
• Activate SDS/2 window. Using Keyboard shortcut or menu invoke ‘Run macro’ command
• When ‘Open’ dialog appears on the screen, press Ctrl+V- press Enter
• Select member for adding Vertical Angles.
• If you need to repeat that macro, just invoke ‘Run macro’ command - Ctrl+V- press Enter- Select member for adding Vertical Angles.
